Of the two Liam Gallagher albums out this week this is the one I’ve had more of a hand in. The idea of sailing down the Thames doing a set during the British winter didn’t instantly strike me as an inspired one. The minute we set sail however it was obvious that this was to be a unique and moving experience the likes of which I’ll probably never see again. As we passed under the beautifully lit bridges of an eerily deserted capital every moment was even more fleeting than usual, you really did only get one take of drifting under tower bridge playing once with a helicopter above. A great live album but an unassailable gigging memory from a band that has offered many to me.
